Terms of Service
A plain-language starting point. Have a lawyer review if you need a signed contract for a larger job.
These terms apply to quotes and work performed by Oblita-Ray Laser Restoration (“we”, “us”) for customers in and around the Greater Rochester Area. By requesting a quote or booking work, you agree to them.
Quotes
Quotes are based on the information and photos you provide. Final price may change if the job differs from what was described (hidden coatings, a larger area, access issues, or a substrate that needs slower settings). We will tell you before we continue if the scope changes.
The work
Laser cleaning removes contaminants such as rust, paint, grease, varnish, graffiti, and soot. We take care to protect the underlying material, but we cannot make a surface newer than it is. Pre-existing cracks, warping, pitting, or structural damage remain. Test patches are recommended on delicate, historic, or unknown materials.
Your items
You confirm you have the right to have the item or property cleaned. You are responsible for telling us about hazards you know about (lead paint, fuel, asbestos-adjacent materials, etc.) so we can plan the job safely. We may refuse work that is unsafe or a poor fit for the laser.
Scheduling & site
Shop drop-off and on-site visits are scheduled after we agree on scope. On-site, you provide reasonable access. We may bring a generator when power is not available. You remain responsible for the site itself (parking, occupants, pets, and anything we did not agree to move).
Payment
Payment terms are confirmed when the job is booked. Unless we agree otherwise, work is paid when performed. Quotes are not an offer to finance.
Photos
We may photograph work for quoting and for our portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing before the job starts. We will not sell your contact information.
